Fraud Prosecution & Asset Recovery
21st & 22nd September 2010 - Central London
The trend for self-reporting started with Balfour Beatty and is now expected to continue with AMEC, Mabey and Johnson, BAE Systems and Innospec - leading to plea negotiations and deal making with the prosecutors. This is coupled with the passing of the Bribery Act, one of the most significant reforms to corporate criminal law to take place in recent times. The new act overhauls laws dating back to the 1880s and will undo some of the damage done to the UK's international reputation by the government's handling of the BAE Systems case.
Attend The Lawyers 2nd annual Fraud Prosecution and Asset Recovery conference to discuss the Bribery Bill and what exactly will constitute the adequate systems and controls required to prevent such offences and the notion of associated persons? Hear up-to-the minute responses from the Serious Fraud Office, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as well as the U.S. Department of Justice and moving on from last year, discuss the hottest issues within fraud – plea negotiations, deal making with the prosecutors, the developments in different jurisdictions and case studies of the latest global settlement deals.
NEW for 2010!
