Transfer Pricing

19th April
Central London

Transfer pricing is an issue that sits right at the top of the agenda for many international corporates. Law firms are recognising the increasing importance of being able to provide a combined legal, tax and advisory service that positions them firmly as the first port of call for clients’ advice needs.

Whilst most law firms will not have the resources to invest in fully fledged transfer pricing advisory service, they have spotted the opportunity to leverage their existing legal and tax expertise by bulking up the transfer pricing knowledge in their existing teams.

In response to this, The Lawyer magazine’s inaugural conference on transfer pricing for lawyers will give you the in-depth knowledge you require to provide increased levels of transfer pricing guidance and thus add more value to your practice and ultimately your clients.

The agenda will include:

  • Developments in case law
  • A guide to transfer pricing developments in BRIC countries
  • An introduction to best practice pricing strategies
  • What practical steps a law firm can take to give best advice that does not mean unnecessarily losing clients
  • How law firms can leverage from existing practices
  • Practical advice from corporate tax directors on the challenges they are facing and what they feel outside counsel can bring to the table
  • An overview of current developments in the HMRC and a guide to how you can approach them and build relationships within the department
  • Managing transfer pricing in a recession

Current confirmed speakers include:

  • Melissa Tatton, Director, Business International, HMRC
  • Mike Sufrin, Director of Tax, Rolls Royce
  • Murray Clayson, Partner, Freshfields
  • Richard Fletcher, Principal Economist, Baker and McKenzie
  • Erica Howard, Partner, KPMG

You should attend if you:
